Current Track Obsession 🎧 Vol. xviii

I feel like I say this every week, but 2021 is flying by! Who can believe that we are in our last week of May, and June is seriously stalking around the corner?! I seriously don't even remember last June...or last summer for that matter. Probably because 2020 was a big blur between wedding planning and COVID. But I am HERE for 2021 summer to remember!

.

And Current Track Obsession is here to supply you with the hits you need to roll those windows down, cruise down the highway, and embrace all that summer can be!

.

This week I am living for these 5 new tracks! Get excited because each of these tracks is going to be perfect for the soundtrack you're going to build over the next couple of months. And a majority are from BRAND NEW artists! So be the cool kid on the block and share these with all your friends!

.

1️⃣ My All - Lone Waves

* Talk about BRAND NEW artists, "My All" marks the fourth of five releases from Lone Waves, yes of all time. Listening to this track you would never guess that this band hasn't even released an EP. "My All" mixes all sorts of goodies together mashing up alternative styles with boy-band vocals, with a few additional surprises along the ride. I can guarantee you won't be able to sit still through this track! Once you become enthralled by Lone Wave's sound, do yourself and check out their entire discovery. I've got my eye on this band and big things.

.

2️⃣ Ring Master - Moldy Millington

* Now you thought Lone Waves was impressive with only five tracks under their belt, well meet Molly and her SECOND release. Chills. I get chills when I listen to this song. Molly's unique, hard-cutting, and COOL sound makes for the most unique track to hit Current Track Obsession in a while. The stylist choices that keep this track a huge guessing game are beyond the work of musical genuisness. And honestly, I can't wait to choreograph a sick routine to this sick song. Do yourself a favor a hop on the Molly Millington early, before it takes off- which it will.

.

3️⃣ Play Me (Like A Piano) - Lili Caseley

* Coming in with the song that will get stuck in your head is Lili Caseley with "Play Me (Like A Piano)." Although Lili has a few more releases than our first two artists, she's still a relatively new artist! This song was an instant add to Current Track Obsession because of its extremely catchy melody and perfectly sculpted lyrics. This is a track you're going to have memorized in no time and will be singing along to all summer long.

.

4️⃣ 12 AM - Luwa

* Another up-and-coming artist that you need to keep on your radar is Luwa. Her second release "12 AM" has me hooked on her beautiful, and deep vocals and how easily they flow with her soft pop style. If you're looking for a new song to be your girl power anthem, well look no further! Your summer will feel complete once you're belting along with Luwa's relatable lyrics.

.

5️⃣ Reset - Vox Rea

* Finishing off this week's volume is our most established band, Vox Rae and their memorizing hit "Reset." Seriously, from the very first chord, you're instantly transported to the coolest pool party in LA. Vox Rae does an absolutely wonderful job at combining the addicting tactics of modern music and layering it with their groovy, vintage sound. Their overall hazy, coolest kid vibe will have you playing this tune at every one of your summer events.

.

And there you have it, folks! The last Current Track Obsession volume of May and the end of the compilation "Bloomin' Beats" my May Spotify playlist. Not to worry, you can always listen to May's playlist and any month's playlist from this year by checking out my Spotify Rachel Brooks (I finally figured out how to change my name with Spotify's update!)

I do have a couple of announcements to leave you with before I close! My website/my blog will be going under construction over the next couple of weeks. What does that mean for Current Track Obsession? It will be all via my Instagram feed. Sadly there will be no blog posts to accompany a couple of volumes in June. BUT all should be well by, at the latest, the first volume of July!

.

I can't wait to show you all my new branding and marketing when we resume blog posts!
