current track obsession 🎧 vol. xxxii

I'm BACK!!! Oh my gosh, it has been a little over three months since I have written a blog post!

.

Honestly, a lot has happened in those three months- an entire summer in a new state in fact. πŸ˜‚

But, I'm really happy to be back, with an uncapped caption limit (WHY YOU DO THAT TO ME IG?!?!) bring you what I'm most passionate about!

Motivation. Entertainment. Creative Photography. Style!

.

If you're brand new to The R Brooks Blog, HELLO! Personally, I am honored that you have taken the limited time you have during your busy schedule to come read the many words that float around my mind at a million miles per hour! And if you're a returning customer, welcome back to the crazy!

.

But you came to read about music and entertainment, not about my quirky ways, so let's get to it!

.

Although the last Current Track Obsession Volume to grace The R Brooks blog was Volume XVIII (18) we are now XXXII (32) volumes and 170 unique artists and songs strong! That is not including our special edition of Current Track Obsession, All-Stars- which will be coming to you fresh every 25 volumes from now on!

.

Before we get into this week's new tracks, I want to first express my sincere gratitude to everyone who has tuned into the thing I look forward to most throughout the week. Truthfully, I forget things I have to do daily, like medications, but I never forget about Current Track Obsession. And your support is a huge reason it's become such an important part of my life! I hope you continue to love this series and these tracks as much as I do!

.

Now, without further ado, here are the tracks I cannot get enough on the first week of September!

.

1) TEXAS - Matt Hall

* The best beat award goes to this track right here, "Texas" by the Matt Hall! I have been looking forward to introducing you to this artist for a few months now- but have been waiting for the right time. And this is totally it! I fell in love with Matt after hearing his intamate melody, "gut feelings" and "Texas" only solidifies those strong feelings. But his songs are more than just a pretty beat, take a deep listen to the well crafted lyrics and you'll see why Matt stands away from the rest!

.

2) IN LOVE - Coma Culture

* Ever heard of a little band called Young the Giant? (If you haven't, first go look them up!) But if you have, which I'm assuming most of you have, meet Coma Culture the new sound of Young the Giant's Eric Cannata and Francois Comtois. And what a glorious sound it is! "In Love" gives me all sorts of those early fall vibes with a little bit of vintage, a little bit of modern, and a whole lot of whimsy. You'll have this track on repeat as you run through the pumpkin patch this season, you know...as one does.

.

3) TALK IT OUT - LeyeT

* Sometimes a track just kind of blindsides me. I'm listening through a shuffle of an obscure playlist and BAMB, all of the sudden, time stands still. A song comes over my headphones that combines emotional lyrics, an inventive melody, and a catchy beat that pull at my heartstrings. And "Talk It Out" most certainly did this to me. LeyeT takes such a relatable, puts her own spin on it, and what comes out on the other side of that creative collaboration is a track you won't be able to take off repeat. Listen now!

.

4) USED TO BE - FLORIO

**YouTube Video Not Unavailable Yet**

* If you're looking for a track you can dance the night away to, look no further than "Used To Be Love" by FLORIO! My husband usually laughs at me at least once when I'm writing the Current Track Obsession blog post because I'm jamming out, in my own little world, and this was the song that got me bopping the most! I love the artists fun mix of layered vocals, electronic vibes, and that moody aura that keeps this song playing over and over in your head.

.

5) I'M NOT IN LOVE - Ber

**YouTube Video Not Unavailable Yet**

* This song is going to be my "Cool Girl Fall" anthem! (Anyone else joining me on #coolgirlfall?! Anyone wanna tell me what that could even mean because I just made it up... πŸ˜‚) Anyways! "I'm Not In Love" is just one of the three recent releases I am obsessing about from Ber. This single also features two other tracks, "Feels So Easy" and "Bad For Me," all which shine a beautiful light on her unique style built in acoustic, vintage mixes and thoughtful lyrics. And every track is catchy as heck! Be prepared to feel all the feels and love every second of it as you're taking a listen!

.

These 5 tracks are just scratching the surfaces on some really spectacular songs that have made their way to my brand new playlist Fall 🍁 Spice 🍁 Fusion, September's monthly Spotify playlist. Here you can find a plethora of tracks from familiar and upcoming artists that range from latest drops to missed hits! And there's a little something for every music taste. Just put that playlist on shuffle and let the music take you away!

.

And for those special, life-changing tracks, you can find every volume's additions on the Current Track Obsession playlist via my Spotify Page! And if you're an avid Spotify user, like myself, you can follow me and my playlists there so you are the first to know when new music is added!

.

Now let me thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my first blog post in THREE MONTHS and being the true MVPS! I sincerely hope you enjoy these tracks.

Wishing you a fantastic Labor Day Weekend, superstar!

.

Love,
